Chicken Salad Chick: A Beacon for Women Entrepreneurs, Makes Top 50 Franchises of 2023

Independent Survey Shows Female Franchise Owners Are Highly Satisfied with Chicken Salad Chick’s Performance

The renowned Chicken Salad Chick has been recognized as a leading franchise for women by the Franchise Business Review, ranking among the top 50 in the list for 2023. The brainchild of Stacy Brown, a mother to three and an entrepreneur with a mission to spread joy, enrich lives, and serve others, the brand continues to thrive under the stewardship of CEO Scott Deviney.

Brown’s vision for Chicken Salad Chick has been instrumental in inspiring numerous women to venture into franchise ownership. Currently, women comprise 20% of the franchisees, with a significant 60% being run by husband-wife teams or multiple family members.

The brand’s strong core values, robust business model, and impressive support system are its key strengths, enabling it to attract and retain top-notch franchisees. Julie Beville, co-owner of Sing Bev Hospitality LLC, alongside her husband Scott Beville and long-time friend Michelle Singleton, is a shining example of this success.

“With 17 open restaurants and more in the pipeline, we’re the largest franchisee in the Chicken Salad Chick system,” Beville revealed. “The brand’s unique work-life balance and positive atmosphere make it an attractive proposition for anyone, particularly women wanting to become their own boss.”

In their rookie year as franchisees, Beville and her team bagged the Chicken Salad Chick’s Franchisee of the Year Award, a feat they repeated in 2022, becoming the first franchisee to win the accolade twice. Amidst a high-growth period and strong performance from existing stores, Beville has emerged as a powerful ambassador for the brand.

The Franchise Business Review’s study on Top Franchises for Women involved over 322 franchise brands and 8,100 female franchise owners. The research evaluated franchisees’ satisfaction across key business areas such as leadership, training, support, financial opportunity, and work/life balance.

The survey data highlighted that 98% of Chicken Salad Chick franchisees rated the business’s long-term growth opportunity as moderate, strong, or very strong, surpassing the food segment average by 4%. Furthermore, over 90% would recommend the franchise to others.

Scott Deviney, CEO of Chicken Salad Chick, attributes the brand’s success to its founder’s vision and commitment to inclusivity. “We work relentlessly to maintain the standard set by Stacy Brown,” Deviney stated. “Being named among the Top Franchises for Women is a testament to our efforts, and we hope to inspire others in the industry.”

With its appealing investment opportunity and numerous revenue streams, Chicken Salad Chick continues to attract aspiring entrepreneurs and local families. The brand’s ambitious growth plan aims to have 500 locations open by the end of 2025. For more information on franchise opportunities with Chicken Salad Chick, visit chickensaladchick.com/franchising.
