Revolutionary Partnership Aims to Reshape Menopause Care: Gennev and LifeStance Unite

National Partnership Unites Physical and Mental Healthcare to Improve Outcomes for Menopause Patients

In an industry-first collaboration, Gennev, the nation’s premier online menopause clinic provider, and LifeStance Health, a leading provider of virtual and in-person outpatient mental healthcare, have announced a partnership to deliver an integrated approach to menopause care. This alliance aims to address both physical and mental health symptoms associated with menopause, offering women a holistic treatment approach.

The groundbreaking partnership will enable seamless referrals for Gennev’s patients to LifeStance’s team of psychiatry and psychotherapy specialists. This will ensure the delivery of mental healthcare that is specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of women navigating menopause.

Every day in the United States, an estimated 6,000 women enter menopause, resulting in over two million women annually. The transitional phases of perimenopause and menopause often have profound impacts on a woman’s emotional well-being, manifesting in new or increased symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.

Recognizing the pivotal role of mental health in overall wellness, the integrated Gennev and LifeStance team will work collaboratively to provide evidence-based treatment recommendations, fostering a comprehensive approach to menopause care.

“Through our partnership with LifeStance, we remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering the most comprehensive menopause care for women,” said Jill Angelo, CEO of Gennev. She emphasized that the collaboration will empower women to take control of both their physical and emotional health needs.

Dr. Rebecca Dunsmoor-Su, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Gennev, highlighted the importance of not accepting behavioral health struggles during menopause as the norm. “Proactive management of behavioral health conditions during menopause significantly reduces the need for crisis care, resulting in improved life quality and, ideally, reduced overall behavioral health costs,” she said. This strategic alliance marks a significant step forward in transforming menopause care, moving toward a more integrated and comprehensive approach.
